Betty Hodde Beyer peacefully passed away at home on Jan. 8, 2023. She was born on Jan. 10, 1930, to parents Henry Hodde and Gertrude (White) Hodde in Columbus, Texas. She married Alfred Beyer on Sept. 24, 1949.

Betty graduated from Columbus High school in 1947. After graduation, she went to work for the telephone company in Houston. After starting a family, she stayed home to take care of the girls.

Betty was active in her church and community. She was a charter member in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Blessed Trinity, in Houston and was a member for 56 years. She volunteered at many nursing homes, the VA hospital, and schools. She joined the Lions Club when they moved to Weimar.

Betty enjoyed bowling over 50 years and achieved a perfect 300 several times. She also enjoyed golf, softball, fishing, and hunting. She shared these hobbies with her kids and grandkids.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred, brother Joe T. Hodde and his wife Irene.

She is survived by her daughters Lynda Levinski and husband Don and Rena Reiner and husband Eric. She also has seven grandchildren Leigh-Anne, Donald, JoLynn, Darlene, Meghan, Buddy, and Charlotte and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas. A parish prayer service and rosary will follow at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023, 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Church in Columbus, Texas with Fr. Augustine Asante and Deacon John Glueck officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus, Texas.

Pall bearers are Donald Levinski, Eric “Buddy” Reiner, Ken Hodde, David Hodde, J.D. Williams, and Bruce Kubena.
