Dora Mae Brown, 92, of Columbus, passed away July 2 in Houston.

She was born Mar. 21, 1930 to Stephen J. Kosler, Sr. and Matilda (Stahl) Kosler in Wildwood Community near Weimar. She married Ray T. Brown, Sr. Apr. 16, 1952.

Dora worked as a cook for the Columbus High School Cafeteria for many years.

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Dora enjoyed her pets and gardening.

Dora is survived by her daughters Dinah Janak and husband Norris of Columbus and Marjorie Rogers of Conyers, Georgia; son Ray T. Brown, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Columbus; grandchildren Thomas Janak and wife Lisa and Todd Rogers; great-grandchildren Keith Janak, Luke Janak, James Janak and Nicholas Janak; great great-granddaughter Vanity Stovall; special friends Jamie and Brent Donaldson and Raymie Kana.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ste phen J. Kosler, Jr. and Matilda Kosler; husband Ray T. Brown, Sr.; son Carl “Pudder” Brown; brother Melvin Kosler; sisters Viola Anders, Bernice Kubesch and Gladys Rosenauer; sons-in-law William “Bill” Zwiegel and Robert Rogers; infant granddaughter Tammie Janak.

A private graveside service was held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus with Fr. Wayne Flagg officiating. Burial took place in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Anthony Catholic School, 635 Bonham St., Columbus, TX 78934.
