Isabel Schobel Escobar, 85, passed away peacefully in her home in Redwood City Friday, Nov. 19.

Isabel was born and raised in her beloved hometown of Columbus Nov. 4, 1936. She moved many times during her life to Hawaii, Washington, Louisiana and California, but always called Texas home.

She is the daughter of the late Emil and Eva Schobel and the sister of the late Virginia Byrnes.

She is survived by her children Erich Escobar (Sue), Sheri Escobar Good (Chris), Stuart Escobar (Kelly), grandchildren Louie (Thyra) Vargas, Jennifer Good, Jake Escobar, Madi Escobar, Jonathan Good, Jessica Good and Great-granddaughter, Charlotte Vargas.

She will be forever loved and never forgotten.

Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at Henneke Funeral Home, 1515 Montezuma St, Columbus.

Burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus.
