Pam Cranek Hinze, 57, of Sheridan, passed away Sept. 29 in El Campo.

She was born Dec. 27, 1963 to Lester Joseph Cranek and Isabel (Sladek) Cranek in El Campo. On Sept. 7, 1998 she married Darryl L. Hinze.

Pam worked as a secretary for many years at Sheridan Water Supply.

Pam enjoyed “Friday Night Lights” along with all high school sporting events. Many would consider her the number one fan of “Raider Nation”. She never missed a game, spent countless dollars on footballs from the annual silent auction to give to a senior player, and even booked segments on a popular football podcast to promote the program. Pam also enjoyed remodeling/decorating her home, spending time with her family and friends, reading a good book, and baking desserts for anyone that would ask her to. Pam always made sure the people she cared about were taken care of. She truly lived life to it’s fullest and in her memory she would want everyone to do the same.

Pam is survived by her husband of 23 years, Darryl Hinze; daughters Courtney Sklar of Austin, and daughter Megan Hinze of Sheridan; sons Matthew Hinze of Sheridan, and Barrett Hinze of Sheridan; sisters Florence Wesselski of Garwood, Peggy Lund of Garwood, and Janeen Cranek and husband Jeff of Altair; brothers Lester J. Cranek and wife Paula of Edna, Louis V. Cranek III of Nada, and Roy Cranek and wife Wanda of Eagle Lake; sister-in-law Kim Cranek of Nada; grandchildren Kiley Michalec, Colton Hinze, Lilah Hinze, and Zack Spangenberg.

Her parents Lester Cranek and Isabel Cranek, and brother Kenneth Cranek, preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nada on Saturday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
