George Frank Kazmir, Jr. 71, of Sheridan, passed away Mar. 17 in Victoria.

He was born Sept. 9, 1950 to George Frank Kazmir, Sr. and Adela (Schenk) Kazmir in Weimar. On Dec. 18, 1976 he married Betty Ann Koller.

George worked as a diesel mechanic for Troy construction Pipeline Company for many years.

George enjoyed going to car shows. He loved the outdoors. He loved taking his grandchildren hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time at his pasture tending to his cows. He was a man of all trades. George enjoyed working on little projects people in the community would bring him. He was a man of his word and willing to help anyone no matter what time of day. He would give his shirt off his back to anyone. He was a loving and caring man. George loved his family so much and will be truly missed.

George is survived by his wife Betty Kazmir; daughters Karen Kolacny and husband Devin and Carol Blaschke and husband Michael; sister Mary Ward; brothers Eugene Kazmir and wife Jonell and Billy Kazmir; grandchildren Parker Blaschke, Preston Orsak, Dylon Kolacny, Kolby Kolacny, and Layten Kolacny.

He was preceded in death by his parents George Kazmir, Sr. and Adela Kazmir; sisters Shirley Pittman and Diane Yowe; brother Bennie Kazmir; father-in-law Raymond Koller; mother-in-law Lucille Koller.

Visitation was Monday, Mar. 21 and Tuesday, Mar. 22 at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Mar. 22, 2022 at Henneke Funeral Home. Eugene Kazmir officiated.

Burial took place in Cheetham Cemetery in Sheridan.

Pallbearers were Devin Kolacny, Michael Blaschke, Eugene Kazmir, Clifton Kazmir, Charleston Crayton, Derrick Rollins, Curtis Pittman and Harvey Foster. Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.
