Agnes J. Schneider Laake, age 82, passed away Jan. 1, 2020 in Weimar. She was born to Reinhardt H. and Adela (Guenther) Schneider June 7, 1937 in Borden. She married Paul F. Laake June 20, 1964.

Agnes enjoyed gardening, baking and being with her grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Reinhardt and Adela Schneider, son Stephen Laake, sister Helen Zimmermann, brother-in-law Franklin Zimmermann and sister Mildred Kallus.

Agnes is survived by her husband of 55 years, Paul F. Laake of Columbus; daughter Paula M. Laake of Austin; son Michael A. Laake and wife Kelly of Borden; sister Virginia Kroboth and husband Johnny of Houston; brother-in-law Anton Kallus of Houston; sister-in-law Eileen Hand and husband Al of Anchorage, AK; sister-in-law Patricia Talbert and husband Don of Kansas, grandchildren, Andrew Laake, Michael Yeakley and Kenneth Yeakley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 6, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus, with Fr. Augustine Asante officiating. Visitation was Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Henneke Funeral Home, Columbus, with a rosary at 5 p.m. A visitation was Monday at church from prior to funeral service. Burial followed at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Columbus.

Serving as pallbearers were Andrew Laake, Michael Yeakley, Mark Montemayor, Alex Montemayor, Mike Johnson and Jackie Sweat.
