Delbertha “Bootsie” Suchadoll Luedke, 85, of New Ulm, passed away Nov. 2 in Weimar.
She was born July 12, 1934 to Hubert Suchadoll and Lucy Brokmeyer Suchadoll in Post Oak Point. On June 28, 1953 she married Curtis Luedke at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg.
Curtis and Delbertha owned and operated New Ulm Tavern and Cafe for 25 years, and then Delbertha worked as a housekeeper at The Falls in New Ulm for 15 years.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church – St. Ann Altar Society, Country Quilters.
Delbertha enjoyed gardening, quilting, games, and spending time with family and loved riding around on the country roads and eating out.
Delbertha is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Suchadoll and Lucy Brokmeyer Suchadoll; husband, Curtis Luedke; sisters, Lois Moeller, Doris Jean Gross
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Halfmann (Raymond); Darlene Arrington (Ben); Glenda Hall (Freddie); Arlene Kensing (Gary); son, Ronald Luedke Sr. (Mary); sister, Eudene Richter (Ernest Jr.); grandchildren, Jamie Yearwood (Nic); R.J. Halfmann (Rachel); Gary Halfmann; Cory Halfmann (Jaime); Caleb Arrington (Beata); Zachary Arrington (Amanda); Edwin Luedke (Elizabeth); Ronald Luedke Jr. (Kaci); Allen Luedke; Stacy Jones; Lisa Hill; Ashley Settle (Jake); Sammie Esquivel (Chris); Edward Hirsch (Teryn); great-grandchildren Grace, Brook, Jackie, Jason, Levi, Darren, Austin, Addison, Rhyan, Tyann, Jordan, Tristan, Chloe, Aidan, Ian, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Keera, Harper, Avery, Isabelle; and two great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was Tuesday, Nov. 5 from 5-7 p.m. with a parish prayer service and rosary at 7 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus. Visitation was also at church Wednesday, with Altar Society Rosary at 9:30 a.m.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg with Fr. Michael Lyons officiating.
Burial will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are R.J. Halfmann, Gary Halfmann, Cory Halfmann, Caleb Arrington, Zachary Arrington, Edwin Luedke, Ronald Luedke, Jr, Allen Luedke, and Edward Hirsch.
