Cody Dewayne Mc-Callum, of Benton, Ark., passed away Sept. 17 at the age of 44. He was born to William Floyd McCallum and Cathy (Knox) McCallum July 29, 1975 in Chanelview.

Cody was a Mill-works Department Specialist. He enjoyed the outdoors, his work at Lowes and playing pool. In his younger days, Cody played at a high level in the arena of pool tournaments, including on the professional circuit and had the trophies to show for it.

Cody was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

His parents Cathy and Floyd, ex-wives Esther and Nichole, children Jessie, Kayla, Hailey and Kaitlin and stepfather, Ricky Girndt, survive him.

A celebration of Cody’s life will be Sept. 28 at 11:30 a.m. at Dandy Kellum’s house, located at . No. 8 Jack Pate Road in New Waverly.

The family would like to plant a nice tree in Cody’s memory at the family farm in Columbus.
