Dorthy Estell Neuendorff, age 92, of Bernardo, passed away Oct. 29 in Columbus. She was born to Willie H. and Irene (Dungen) Tietschert on Jan. 1, 1927 in Yoakum. She married Dennis Neuendorff Feb. 6, 1948.

Dorthy was a devoted mother and wife who was an expert seamstress and cook. In her free time she enjoyed quilting and counted cross-stitching. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casinos.

Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents Willie H. and Irene Tietschert, husband Dennis Neuendorff, sister Katherine Einkauf and husband Oscar, and brother William (Bill) Tietschert.

She is survived by sons Alan Neuendorff and wife Mary of Bernardo, Marvin Neuendorff of Bernardo, Kerry Neuendorff and wife Annette of Frelsburg. Daughter Janice Brasher and husband Charles of Huffman. Grandchildren, Richard Neuendorff and wife Gina of College Station, Bonnie Cummins and husband Randy of Chandler, Lee Neuendorff and wife Tomi of Kennesaw Georgia, Jason Neuendorff and wife Niki of Caldwell, Lindsay May and husband Clint of Spring and Wendy Wells of Seabrook. Step Grandchildren Jason West and wife Jennifer of Boerne, John West and wife Kimberly of Prairieville, LA, Jenifer Kayda of Humble, Jina Hardy and husband King of Kingwood and Stacia Smith and husband Larry of Montgomery; 21 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren also survive her.

Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 31 at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, and on Friday, Nov. 1. Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 1 at Henneke Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Kethan officiating. Burial followed at St Roch Catholic Cemetery in Mentz.

Pallbearers were Richard Neuendorff, Jason Neuendorff, Clint May, Kenny Koehl, David Morris and Dwain Dungen. Honorary pallbearers were Lee Neuendorff, Jason West and John West.
