SANDRA ZETTEL

Sandra Kay (Ahlgrim) Zettel passed away on Dec. 14, 2022, in Brenham, Texas. A visitation was 5-7 p.m Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. A funeral service followed at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at Salem Lutheran Church in Brenham.

Sandra was born on Oct. 11, 1957, to Raymond August Ahlgrim and Lillian (Schmidt) Ahlgrim.

Sandra was married on Sept. 25, 1982, to James Charles Zettel of Brenham.

Sandra loved cooking and hosting family gatherings with her loved ones. She enjoyed fishing and gardening, along with trips to Matagorda, dolphins and watching baseball.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years; sons Jeremy and Lyssa Zettel, and Matthew and Jessica Zettel, all of Brenham; sister Barbara and Douglas Martinek of Columbus; sister in-law Janie Zettel of Bellville; nephews Travis Martinek and R.C. King; and nieces Angie Benitz and Susie King.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father in-law and mother in-law Charles and Vlasta Zettel; and sister in-law Mary Ann King.

Serving as pallbearers were Ronnie Shupak, Chip Andreas, R.C. King, Travis Martinek, Pat Chovanec and Daryl Ganske.
