Sarah Frances Tangler Baker, 87, of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 5, 2021, in Katy, at the Brighton Senior Living of Katy.

She was born on January 1, 1934, to Jim Good and Elsie (Collins) Good in Montgomery, Alabama. She married Allen F. Tengler, Sr. & after his passing, she married Charles Baker.

Sarah worked as a line inspector for American Can Co. for thirty years. She was also a real estate broker.

Sarah was a finalist in the Miss Texas pageant at a very young age, and she also sang beautifully. Sarah married Allen Tengler and enjoyed cooking, camping, being outdoors, and she loved to take short vacations with her children. They spent hours on the river when young crabbing, swimming, and watching the boat races. Sarah also loved the beach house and traveling with her second husband Charlie Baker after she retired. She always loved family gatherings for holidays and gathering at their camp house in Madisonville during deer season. Sarah became a Real Estate Broker and did numerous home makeovers buying and selling prop erties. Sarah worked independently and named her company Baker Real Estate. She really enjoyed seeing the finished products. Sarah really knew how to work and taught her sons how to work. She took care of her mother before she passed due to her illness and Allen, her first husband, who died of cancer. Sarah then married Charles Baker and stayed by his side until his death. She was a faithful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was usually the last one to eat and the last one to go to bed. She devoted her life to serving others.

Sarah is survived by her sons Allen F. Tangler and wife Kim of Sheridan and James Tengler and wife Susan of Spring; grandchildren Kristi Serafin, Kari Montgomery, and Ashley Tangler Washington; great-grandchildren Noah Serafin, Addison Serafin, Jayla Tangler, Emery Montgomery, and Finley Montgomery.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jim Good and Elsie Good; husband Allen Frank Tengler, Sr.; second husband, Charles Baker; sister Mary Jane Judd; great-grandchild Kaden Serafin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Sheridan in Sheridan, Texas.

On Saturday, August 14, 2021, the funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Sheridan in Sheridan, Texas. Pastor Allen Tangler will be officiating.

Burial will take place in Cheetham Cemetery in Sheridan, Texas.

Pallbearers are Carmen Serafin, Larry Montgomery, David Washington, and Noah Serafin. Honorary pallbearers are Cayden Nicholson and Cameron Green.
