Emanuel Scott, Jr. was born in Shaws Bend, Colorado County in 1946 to the late Emanuel Scott, Sr. and Lacy Scott.

He left high school and moved to Houston in 1964. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Emanuel moved back to Colum bus in 1987 where he lived until his health failed. He joined Smith Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Sanders many years ago.

Emanuel passed away on Feb. 19. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters: Bessie (Leroy) and Bettie; three brothers: Robert, James, and Douglas (Barbara); two nephews: Nathaniel (Teresa) and Daryl (Sonceria); four nieces: Detra, Brandi (Gene), Jackie, and Michele; and a host of other relatives and a special friend, Dora.

To celebrate Emanuel’s life, the family has entrusted the professional services to Ben Davis Funeral Home of Columbus.
