TORRES
Jorge “George” Torres, resident of Alleyton, was received in the arms of God Aug. 25. George was born Apr. 11, 1953 to Agustin and Francisca Torres.
George was married to Rosalba and has six children whom he loved and was very proud of. He was a loving husband and often dedicated love songs to his wife. In his mother’s eyes he could do no wrong, as he was the baby.
George was a kind, helping, and generous man that also had a unique, expert knack at joking around with everyone. He enjoyed adding to his coin collection, listening to music, and singing karaoke.
His family and friends will dearly miss him. Their memory of him will be, “I’m grilling outside, come and eat”.
His father, Agustin Torres and brother Ricardo Torres preceded George in death.
He is survived by his wife Rosalba Torres; mother Francisca Torres; children A. Ricky Torres, Melissa Torres, Jorge and Joel Torres, Kazandra Torres and Joshua Torres; seven grandchildren; sisters Julia Gonzalez and Enedelia Martinez, and several nieces and nephews.
A Rosary at 1 p.m. and Mass at 2 p.m. will be Saturday, Sept. 25 at St. Anthony Catholic Church where Rev. Augustine Asante will officiate. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery immediately after Mass.
