WEISHUHN

Lillie Aschenbeck Weishuhn, age 95, passed away Oct. 11 in Columbus. She was born to Alfred and Mathilda “Tillie” (Meyer) Aschenbeck Sept. 6, 1926 in Frelsburg. She married Lester Weishuhn Jan. 13, 1946.

Lillie enjoyed cooking for her family, caring for others, singing in the church choir, and watching the Houston Astros. She will be most remembered for her kindness and making everyone feel special.

Lillie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Weishuhn; sister and brother-in-law, Leona and Leroy Weishuhn; and brother, Herbert Aschenbeck.

Lillie is survived by her sons, Larry L. Weishuhn and wife, Mary Anne of Brenham, and Glenn Weishuhn and wife Cindy of Frelsburg; grandchildren, Theresa Tigrett and husband Lance, Elizabeth Weishuhn, and Lora Kuenstler and husband Kyle; great-grandchildren, Joshua Gonzalez, Justin Gonzalez and wife Andrea, Jacob Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Kathryn Johnson, Jackson Kuenstler and Beau Kuenstler; great great grandson, Graham Gonzalez; and sister-in-law Lillie Mae Aschenbeck.

A funeral service was Friday, Oct. 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Frelsburg. A visitation was Thursday, Oct. 14 at Henneke Funeral Home and Friday at church. Burial is in Kaiser Cemetery in Brushy Community.

Serving as pallbearers were James Weishuhn, David Sinclair, Ronnie Aschenbeck, Lance Tigrett, Kyle Kuenstler, Joshua Gonzalez, Justin Gonzalez and Jacob Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew Johnson, Jackson Kuenstler, Beau Kuenstler and Graham Gonzalez.
