God’s Embrace Lenten Weekend Retreat set for early March

This Lent, God’s Embrace Ministries will be offering a Weekend Retreat on March 1 through March 3 at Cathedral Oaks Retreat Center at 1225 County Road 248 in Weimar.

The theme for the weekend is Passion of Christ, Strengthen Me, and will explore the strength and comfort we can find in the suffering of the cross.

The retreat includes a fee of $160 per person and includes accommodations and all meals. Local residents can register for $100 and come and go from home (meals included). The event is open to all. To register contact the God’s Embrace office at 979-561-8883 or register online at www.godsembrace.org/gem-weekend-retreat God’s Embrace weekend retreats offer participants an opportunity to leave the busyness of the world and enter deep into the heart of our Triune God. Led by Michael Fonseca, the content of each retreat is carefully planned to create a sacred space to encounter God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The retreat will include Adoration, meditation on sacred scripture, daily Mass confession as well as group spiritual direction and fellowship. Father Luke Prihoda will be joining the retreat for Masses and confessions as well the closing Mass on Sunday.

Retreat Details:

• Begins with dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 1 (5 p.m. check in)

• All Meals Provided

• Daily Mass, Confession and Adoration

• Group Spiritual Direction

• Ends with lunch at noon on Sunday, March 3
