Busy Wildcats basketball over Christmas holidays
The Weimar Wildcats boys’ team took one gift and lost another during the Christmas break. On Dec. 29, the Wildcats faced off against the Mumford Mustangs and played some hardcore basketball. At the end of the fourth quarter, the game was tied at 69 points. The Wildcats put up a great battle in OT, but Mumford was hot with three-pointers, giving them the win by one point with a final 71- 72 score.
On Dec. 30, the Wildcats took on the Milano Eagles and came away with a 71-51 win over the Eagles. Joey Ramirez scored 33 total points followed by Felix Sanchez with 10 points. Brady Henke put up nine points. Dreylon McMillian came away with seven total points followed by Jose Ramirez with five total points and Clayton Nunnelly with three points.
The Weimar Wildcats played Flatonia Jan. 5 in Weimar, and have a bye date Jan. 8.
