Running together for a good cause

Several local communities came together to run for some great causes on Labor Day (Monday, Sep 4th). Cross country runners from St. Anthony’s Catholic School in Columbus, St. Michael’s Catholic School in Weimar, Sacred Heart Catholic School in Hallettsville, Schulenburg High School, and Columbus High School joined forces to raise funds for the Freedom Service Dogs of America, Tunnels to Towers 9/11 Foundation, the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust, and the National Purple Heart Honor Mission. Students were joined by the St. Anthony Catholic School Principal, her husband, and two parents for the evening’s fun run, and the event was coordinated by Sarah Moore, St. Anthony’s Athletic Director.
