Texas UIL is making strides in hopes of having Texas high school football back on track for the fall.
UIL Executive Director Dr. Charles Breithaupt on Sunday, July 5 that
their plan is to start the 2020 HS football season on time this upcoming August with a full schedule as well.
Other details have not been ironed out for high school football currently, but this is definitely a good sign for football fans and athletes around the state.
In March, Dr. Jamey Harrison said the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the cancellation of spring activities by the organization that governs interscholastic academic, music and athletic contests to public school students was unprecedented in its 110-year history.
