COLUMBUS—Judge Bill Old of the 25th Judicial District received the endorsement of Colorado County Sheriff R.H. “Curly” Wied.

Sheriff Wied appreciates Judge Old being available to assist deputies at all hours of the day and night in the execution of search and arrest warrants. Crimes happen at all hours and Judge Old is willing to be there 24/7 for the deputies.

“It is an honor to have Sheriff Wied’s support and the support of so many other law enforcement personnel,” said Judge Old.

Judge Old was elected to the 25th Judicial District of Texas in 2012 and re-elected in 2016. He is currently serving in his seventh year on the bench and presides over Guadalupe, Gonzales, Lavaca and Colorado counties. His court is a court of general jurisdiction, which means he hears both criminal and civil cases. Judge Old has also been endorsed by the Schertz Police Association in Guadalupe County.
