Weimar Police Report


Officer Trench was dispatched to IH-10 E/B in reference to a report of a female being assaulted in a vehicle and trying to jump out while it was still moving. Trench located the suspect vehicle at a convenience store in the 900 block S. Eagle. After further investigation, the driver Cristian Layton, 24, of Sugar Land, was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily injury/family member. Layton was transported directly to the Colorado County Detention Center and incarcerated on the charge.

In reference to a missing person report from July 11th, Lt. Krhovjak’s follow-up investigation concluded that the 17-year-old male had made it to Guatemala and was with family. He was removed from the National data base as a missing person. Case closed.
