The Weimar High School FFA branch has officially announced this year’s group of officers that will be leading the organization for the 2023-2024 school year. Each of the students recognized as officers exemplified the values of FFA and showed desire in furthering the program with their own individual success as well as looking to enhance their peers as well.

This year’s Weimar FFA president is Kelly McAfee who’s supervised agricultural experience came in raising broilers during her time as an FFA member. McAfee is a part of several scholar programs such as the National Honor Society and Student Council. She also is a part of the Weimar golf team. Her vice president is Hannah Fisbeck, a senior that raised hogs for her SAE while also participating on multiple sports teams such as volleyball and softball. She has many things in common with her president as she is also a member of the National Honor Society as well as student council.

Logan Kainer will be this year’s FFA secretary. His SAE was in cattle production while also participating on the baseball team and other UIL activities. The treasurer is Lauren Hinze, another participant in several Weimar sports like her fellow officers. Hinze participated in market goat raising for her SAE while also being a part of student council and NHS.

The FFA reporter will be Bralen Heger who participated in show pig and heifer competitions. Like secretary Kainer, Heger also plays baseball for the Wildcats. Chloe Grifaldo participates in the market steer and market hog competitions and will be this year’s Sentinel. Grifaldo also is a student council member and is part of several WHS sports and the cheer squad.

Erica Billeck is the Jr. Advisor for Weimar FFA that chose hogs as her SAE. She shares sports and student council as several non FFA activities she shares with her peers. Hunter Simon is Weimar’s Chaplain and another student that raises broilers for his SAE along with playing for Weimar sports teams. The Jr. FFA Coordinator is Alazay Moreno, a multisport athlete that participates in the market hog competition for her SAE.
