St. Anthony benefitted from some charitable donations as The Knights of Columbus Council #2971 held a fried pork steak drive through meal to benefit St. Anthony School and the Catholic Daughters. Court Mary Queen of the Snows provided desserts for the event. Rice High School All-Sports Booster Club speaker
On Thursday, Aug 17, 2023, Eagle Lake Noon Lions Club member Sam Kana introduced the program guest speaker Jamy Dingler, Volunteer Coordinator for Rice High School All-Sports Booster Club. Jamy is a 1993 graduate of Rice High School, where her son now attends. Jamy highlighted two goals of the Booster Club: First: To raise enough funding to award a scholarship to students participating in at least 3 sports each year during the four years of High School plus completing the service work required. The club gives an average of $8,000 per year in scholarships.
