It’s Gala time at St. Anthony School! Mark your calendar for Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. and prepare to enjoy an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. This year’s Gala will be held at the Southern Oaks Event Center (formerly Braden Hall). Tickets are $50 each and may be purchased from any SAS student or the school office. Purchased tickets will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win $1,000. Reserved tables for 8 and sponsorships are also available. Columbus Elementary fourth-graders experience Texas history
The fourth graders at Columbus Elementary School welcomed members of the local chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. Kathleen Townzen and Donna Pustejovsky from the Dilue Rose Harris chapter presented a Pioneer Life Trunk filled with replicas of items from the republic of Texas era. They sprinkled in a little bit of Texas history while explaining the use of everyday items, household items to toys. Students compared the items to their modern-day counterparts. The class got to demonstrate, handle, and play with the items and relate to their own experiences. 01/10/2024 12:00 AM

The Lil Einstein Learning Center in Columbus held their bike giveaway event on Saturday, Dec. 16 to give the parents and kids of Lil Einstein’s a significant gift for Christmas. Yesterday, St. Anthony 7th graders travelled to San Antonio to “remember the Alamo” while the 8th grade made their way underground to experience Natural Bridge Caverns. Tomorrow, the 2nd and 3rd grade will take a trip to Houston’s Main Street Theatre to watch a production of “Beauty and the Beast.” Speaking of productions, the St. Anthony One-Act Play cast has begun learning their lines and getting into character. 12/06/2023 12:00 AM
