If you get your national news from other than the “lamestream media” your might be aware of how some school boards silencing parents’ criticisms of teaching perverse sex education as well as CRT and Transgender grooming. It is happening across the country in left wing dominated districts. Boards and Superintendents have gone as far as engaging the FBI and labeling parents as “terrorists”, for speaking out. 04/26/2023 12:00 AM

When I first came to Texas ChalleNGe Academy, I can’t believe how scared, sad, and lonely I was. I felt all of it. This was my plan Z. I had used up all of my other plans. After getting suspended from school yet again, I broke down in tears and told my mom that I needed help. 04/26/2023 12:00 AM

Last February, I remember asking my teachers, “Do you think this cycle will go by fast?” They would laugh and say, “At the end, you will realize just how fast the 22 weeks will go.” Now, as I sit here writing this article on April 5, I laugh when I think about it. Time is passing fast. 04/19/2023 12:00 AM

When it comes to a health scare, many of us like to think in the form of the question, “is it treatable, or is it preventable?” 04/12/2023 12:00 AM

Inside Texas ChalleNGe Academy live many cadets from all over the state of Texas, and each cadet has her own personal reasons for committing to the program. As a female here at TCA, living with 21 other girls can be difficult because we are each so different. But I remind myself that this is a temporary stop on my journey to success. 04/12/2023 12:00 AM

Being at Texas ChalleNGe Academy was goal that I set for myself. I voluntarily joined the Academy and am happy that I made the decision to come here. I have learned from being here that some cadets were somewhat forced to attend, but for me that wasn’t the case. 04/05/2023 12:00 AM

As a newcomer to Columbus in the early 90s, it was my pleasure to write/direct 3 plays for Columbus Historic Preservation Trust (CHPT) in the Stafford Opera House. The cast was local and our friends and neighbors filled the House. I hope that you have heard that there will be a play this year. It is part of the bi-centennial celebration. This year’s one act plat is titled “Happy Birthday Columbus”. It will portray an imaginary 5th grade class on the day of the birthday party. The students are played by your neighbors Ester Chandler, Gary Chandler, Ann Butler, James Yearwood, Billy Kahn, Tina Higdon, Bob Stiles, John Crews, Lori Ann Gobert, Dr Kirk Anderson, Kathy Salguero, Mark Candela, Darrel Appelt, Phillip Brummett, Allison Korrel, Beamer Stiles, Shirley Isbell, and John Isbell. 03/29/2023 12:00 AM

Living with twenty two girls is hard. Trying to run them is even harder. I was awarded the position of the first Platoon Guide for Echo for the spring 2023 semester. Prior to becoming the platoon guide, I was a squad leader, meaning I was in charge of four other girls. 03/29/2023 12:00 AM
