The Rice Lady Raiders volleyball team started last week with the first of three wins in a row that matched their longest win streak of the season as they have already surpassed last season’s win total. The Weimar Ladycats’ varsity volleyball team had a strong run through the Rice-hosted tournament last week as they lost just two matches throughout the competition. One of which was in the gold bracket championship match against the team that currently sits at the no. 2 spot in the TGCA rankings. Ladies’ Night Out, Christmas on the Colorado Lighted Parade, Santa Claus Museum open every Friday now from 12 noon to 6 p.m., Lunch & Learns, Columbus High School Career Fair, becoming a Film Friendly Texas town, and even a Casino Night are some of the projects that the Columbus Chamber of Commerce is working on.
