During the announcements portion of the Mar. 9 Colorado County Commissioners Court meeting, Colorado County Judge Ty Prause addressed the court and audience about the “pink elephant” in the room. Prause advised that he, along with both hospitals, mayors of the cities, the county health agent, EMS and Emergency management of Colorado County had a meeting scheduled later in the day at 4 p.m. to prepare a plan of action for the impending Coronavirus that has yet to reach Colorado County.

However, it seems that what I thought was the flu is actually allergies. Not just some sniffling, head congested type of allergy. No, this one knocks me for a loop, puts me in bed for three days and I ache and run a fever. Given the similar symptoms, I can see why I always thought it was the flu! Although I felt like death warmed over, I would get out of that nice, comfy bed and put on some mismatched clothes (hey, I am a fashionista) and trudge off to work, despite being a safety hazard to myself and others. My head swimming, I speak incoherently and I can’t even figure out how to work the credit card machine at Whataburger when I’m sick like this!
