The Meals on Wheels program in Colorado County started in 1989 to help meet the needs of residents ages 60 and older. The program, funded in part by WCJC Senior Citizens Program, has three centers in Colorado County in Columbus, Eagle Lake, and Weimar. The Columbus center is managed by Jane Booker and a host of volunteers.
