DOMYNICK LA’SEAN HAWK

DOMYNICK LA’SEAN HAWK

Domynick La’Sean Hawk was born on Dec. 12, 2009, to Tanya Lynn Hawk in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He was 15 years and four months old when he died on April 20 in Columbus.

Domynick was a freshman at Columbus High School. He loved to play sports and has been playing since he was five. He played in the Columbus Little League and Columbus Youth Football Federation then moved on to Jr. High football, basketball and track.

This past year he was on the freshman football team, basketball and track teams. Domynick did get to play with the varsity football team in one game to help them get qualified for state.

He was also very good at drawing and his school art always got picked for the Houston Livestock Show Rodeo Art. At home Domynick would draw pictures of his mom which were going to be tattoos he planned to get later in life.

Domynick was a fun-loving boy, always making people laugh. He was an only child, but his cousin Nathan was like a brother as they were ten months apart and grew up in the same house together.

Nathan moved away a little while after school started but that didn’t matter. When Domynick got into high school he gained a lot more brothers; Kannon, Jace, Alvaro, Adan, Anthony, Eddie, Kaimon, Marcus and so many more.

His hair was always the topic when he went to town. People would tell him they loved it and ask if they could touch it. Sometimes it got on his nerves but really, he liked it. Domynick liked to hunt and got his first deer when he was six years old.

He loved animals and had a mini aussie named Max, a chameleon named Jimbo, a goat named Brownie and chickens. He also used to have two other dogs he loved named Buddy and Jazmie and a horse named Bear.

Domynick was an A/B honor roll student. He used to love reading and got an award for the most AR points when he was in 1st grade. He was so happy that day. He had a couple of girlfriends, but the love of his life was Layla Torres, and they were together for 18 months.

They were inseparable and the sweetest couple. They were chosen to be the Duke and Duchess for the freshman class and were so cute and happy.

Domynick had a smile that lit up a room and his family had special nicknames for him. When he was four months old Nathan could not say his name and called him NickNick. His mom called him popabear and when Kolt and Kole came they started calling him funny boy and he answered to them all.

Domynick is preceded in death by his mother Tanya Hawk; great grandparents Morris and Lillian Cunningham; great grandmother Donna Payne; grandfather Donald Hawk; great uncles James Meek, Wayne Payne, and Chris Payne.
