CLINTON RODNEY MCMATH

CLINTON RODNEY MCMATH

Clinton Rodney Mc-Math, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and accomplished professional, passed away peacefully at his home in Alleyton, on July 2, 2025. He was 78 years old.

Born on November 1946 in New Mexico, Clint lived a life marked by dedication, precision, and deep love for his family. He earned dual degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of New Mexico (1964–1968), launching a distinguished career that would span decades and continents.

Clint began his professional journey with Schlumberger in 1968 as a Field Engineer in Farmington, NM. After a two-year service in the U.S. Army at Fort Ord, California, he returned to Schlumberger, where he rose through the ranks in roles including Personnel Manager of West Well Services, North American Field Personnel Manager, Vice President and General Manager of Offshore Services, and Vice President of Facilities. His work took him and his family across the country—from New Mexico to Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, and California.

In retirement, Clint and his beloved wife Barbara settled in Alleyton, while spending much time traveling to their other favorite destinations such as Edinburg, Texas and Gunnison, Colorado. Besides being a shrewd investor, Clint, together with Barbara, built many successful ski lake communities. Clint was a man of many talents: a volunteer fireman, an avid sharpshooter, and a skilled mechanic who could fix anything. He passed on his knowledge and work ethic to his son, always emphasizing accuracy and safety— values he upheld both at work and at home.

Clint had a deep love for country music, which was the soundtrack to many moments of his life. His favorite song, “Last Dance,” held special meaning for him and those who knew him best.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara McMath, who passed away in May 2024 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Tracy McMath; his grandson, Jackson Waller; and his mother, Bertha Mc-Math.

Clint will be remembered as a tough, serious, and deeply principled man who led with integrity and lived with purpose. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Henneke Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Kethan officiating. Visitation will be from 9–10 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Houston National Cemetery on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11 a.m.
