TOM STALLMAN
TOM STALLMAN

After graduating from Columbus High School in 1969, Tom went on to graduate from Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University) with a Fine Arts degree in Art. During his college days he was a manager for the famed SWTSU Strutters.
Tom was a storyteller who entertained many with his tales, some true and some not, but always engaging and filled with colorful description. His God given gift as an artist was admired by all who had the opportunity to enjoy his work.
Throughout his life, Tom touched many lives in unique, impactful ways. As a lifeguard at the city pool teaching swimming and lifesaving skills; as a mentor for canoe enthusiasts and competing in the Texas Water Safari from San Marcos to the coast; as a martial arts teacher and physical fitness trainer; as a resort director for summer and RV campers; as a rancher who enthusiastically shared stories of working with cattle and knowledge of the prairie; and as a spiritual leader with deep knowledge of scripture and teachings of Christ.
Tom was preceded in death by his father Wilton in 1990 and his mother Lil in 2011. He is survived by his sisters Nicki Harle of Baird, Texas and Johanna Gibson of Roanoke, Texas; three nephews J.W.
