RONALD EUGENE DAVIS

Ronald Eugene Davis was born Jan. 31, 1942, in Syracuse, Nebraska, to Carl Eugene Davis and Margaret Magdalena (Bennedetto) Davis. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959 and Milford Vocational and Technical School then worked on the Atlas Missile silos across Nebraska and Iowa. In 1963, he was drafted and joined the US Navy.

April 4, 1964, he married Connie Jo Myers of Lincoln and spent the year at avionics school in Millington, Tennessee. The next three years, he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, D.C. as a 2nd Class, ATN, (airborne navigation and fire control).

In 1968, after discharge and moving to Titusville, Florida, he worked four years with Federal Electric/ ITT at Cape Kennedy, the years of the Apollo Space Program.

Son Jeffrey Eugene was born June 20, 1968.

In late 1972, he joined Control Data Corporation as a computer systems field engineer. After a cold winter spent training in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the family settled in Missouri City, Texas. Son, Michael Garin, was born June 19, 1973.

Ron was active in the boys’ sports and scout activities. He and Connie moved to Columbus, Texas, in 1999. They both enjoyed the country life.

Ron passed away Octob 19, 2025 in Columbus, Texas.

Ron is survived by wife Connie; sons Jeffrey and wife Laura and Michael and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Kevin Andrew Davis, Allison Nicole (Davis) Carlson and husband Brett, Garin Andrew Davis, Kylie Marie Davis and Sydney Niaves; great grandchildren, Kyan Victor Fenner, Kohen Reese Davis, Ailyn Jo Davis and Wyatt Reese Carlson.
