Virgil graduated from Columbus High School in 1954 and earned his Master Electrician certification, dedicating more than fifty years to his work in refinery and chemical plant settings. He also served honorably in the National Guard. A man of faith, he was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in New Waverly. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, carpentry, and sharing stories with his family.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Neuendorff, and daughter-in-law, Tara Neuendorff; his stepson, Fabian Alba; and his grandchi ldren, Nathan Neuendorff, Zane Bailey, Ariana Alba, and Aiden Alba.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Valdez Neuendorff; his son, Gregory Scott Neuendorff; his parents; his sisters and brothers-inlaw, Viola and Elmo Hoppe and Eunice and Kermit Kickler; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Anita Neuendorff and Weldon and Louise Neuendorff.

A Mass will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Roch’s Catholic Church in Mentz, followed by a celebration of his life.
