JOHN DUDLEY BATLA

He was born on Feb. 26, 1960, to Johnny Alvy Batla and Jean (Waddell) Batla in Tomball.
John worked as an entrepreneur and Jack of all trades but was probably known best for Texana Vacuum Service and Armadillo Portable Toilets as well as his hobby job of Rock N Crock Air Boats. John also served in the U.S. Air Force.
He attended Glidden Baptist Church.
John enjoyed making people laugh and just making people feel loved. He was the best storyteller of all time. John had the best one liners and wit like no one else.
John is survived by his daughter Natalie Wright and husband J.W.; sister Maridee Corley and husband Billy; grandchildren McKinley Wright and Madelyn Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Jean Batla.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Southern Oaks Event Center in Columbus, with visitation being held from 1 to 3 p.m. Clayton Wallin will be officiating.
A private burial will take place in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.
Pallbearers are Matt Barnett, Kelly Barnett, Jeff Kovar, Ed Grisham, James Jordan, Rick Young and Andy Heffley. The Honorary pallbearer is George Barnes.
