DONNA CAROL (WINDHAM) SOLANSKY
DONNA CAROL (WINDHAM) SOLANSKY

Donna was a faithful educator at Columbus Elementary School and is best known for her red-lip “birthday kisses” and her absolutely perfect cursive handwriting. She loved Texas history, bluebonnets, and bling. Having parents that owned a jewelry store made it extremely easy to indulge in her passion for shiny things.
In her free time, she had many hobbies. Donna enjoyed reading mystery novels, sewing/crafts, golf, bowling, swimming, softball, and volleyball. She and Larry were on many teams and leagues throughout the years, with many friends in and around Columbus. She loved game nights with the girls, and lunch with the “biddies” on Fridays. She was loyal to traditions and kept detailed records of birthdays and anniversaries and annual events - making sure not to miss one. She took thousands of pictures and videos and preserved them for years to come.
She was a devout Christian, a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters of America. She taught RCIA and CCD for many years.
Donna loved having a good time, and her children, grandchildren, and friends provided plenty of opportunities for that.
Donna is survived by her husband, Larry Albert Solansky, Sr. of Columbus; son, Larry Albert “Al” Solansky, Jr. of El Reno, OK; daughter, Audrey Ann Dyer of Columbus; five grandchildren, Avey Grace Dyer, Maxwell Blake Solansky, Claire Ellise Solansky, Cullen Michael Dyer, and Weston Reid Dyer; siblings, Marshall Terrell Windham, Jr. of Austin, Rhonda Kay Schneider and Polly Lou Barten of Columbus, and Amy Windham Hartigan of Seguin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and M. T. Windham, Sr. of Columbus.
