Youngsters at Eagle Lake's Camp Good Ground learn the importance of fire safety

Alicia Carter-Walker with the A’lic Foundation, educates Eagle Lake’s Camp Good Ground youngsters about the importance of fire safety. 

Walker started the non-profit and uses the character Spark the No No Flame, to help children understand ways to stay safe around heat sources. 

The Wharton based foundation is in memory of her son A’lic Carter-Randolph, who was  3 years old when he died as a result of a house fire he accidentally started March 2 2015. 

He initially got out of the house,  but managed to get back inside, trying to get his bike. 

“I concentrate my efforts to the little kids who haven’t started school yet,” Walker shared.
