VVA Chapter 1127 hosts National Vietnam War Veterans Day
Vietnam Veterans of America, Columbus Chapter 1127, hosted a gathering of VVA chapters from Schulenburg, El Campo, Hallettsville, and Victoria to celebrate National Vietnam War Veterans Day. The gathering was held March 29 at the Columbus Hall (Columbus KC Hall). The organization said approximately 200 attendees, including veteran members and their spouses, enjoyed a catered barbecue dinner, three hours of brotherhood, a guest speaker, writer Elaine Thomas, a slideshow, and a silent auction. This is the second year that area VVA chapters have come together to celebrate the national holiday.
