45th annual Colorado County Fair comes to an end
COLUMBUS – For the 45th straight year, the county fairgrounds once again hosted the Colorado County Fair in a celebration of the milestone. People from all over the county converged on the fairgrounds to listen to music, enjoy rides and play games as they celebrated the annual event from Thursday, Sept 14 to Saturday, Sept. 16.

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month
Do you have “the card?” I mean a library card, of course! Each September, since 1987, there has been a national library card sign-up month. It all began as a response to then Secretary of Education, William Bennett, who stated: “Let’s have a campaign … Every child should obtain a library card and use it.” Using a library card regularly enhances a child’s education and combats illiteracy.
