St. Anthony School Homecoming is on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Mums, garters and lots of orange are all over campus as the Saints football team takes on St. Michael of Weimar on Cardinal field at 6 p.m. Students at the Oct. 18 Homecoming pep rally will see either Tracy Theut, Shanna Collins or Fr. The Catholic Daughters, Court Mary Queen of the Snows made a generous donation to St. Anthony from their dessert sales at the recent KC drive thru meal. The funds will be used for a new fence on the large playground. Each school in the Columbus Independent will be releasing from the school day early on Oct. 13 in preparation for the Columbus varsity football game away from home against Hitchcock. St. Anthony benefitted from some charitable donations as The Knights of Columbus Council #2971 held a fried pork steak drive through meal to benefit St. Anthony School and the Catholic Daughters. Court Mary Queen of the Snows provided desserts for the event.
