St. Anthony students explore Texas history
Members of the local chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas exhibited their Pioneer Life Trunk to Ms. Kelsey Bohuslav’s 4th grade class at Saint Anthony Catholic School. Kathleen Townzen and Donna Pustejovsky from the Dilue Rose Harris chapter presented various replica items from the mid-1800s. These ‘artifacts’ would be used in everyday life, such as maps and currency, household items and toys and games. As each item was presented, students were able to handle, experiment, and enjoy.
