JEROME FRANK ZBRANEK
Jerome Frank (Jerry) Zbranek passed from this life to the next on March 1, 2023. Born Oct. 4, 1928 in El Campo, Texas, Jerry graduated from Garwood High School and at the age of 21, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving honorably and proudly. After his service to his country, he returned to Garwood and with his wife, Ann raised one son and two daughters. As an avid outdoorsman and hunter, he shared that love with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a focus on gun safety and responsible harvest of wildlife. In 2005, Jerry and Ann moved to Portland, Texas to be closer to family. Jerry always loved working in the yard and after moving to Brookdale Senior Living in Portland he began a beautiful container garden in a cove that was enjoyed by all who passed. His flower garden was honored as Yard of the Month by the Garden Club, and he maintained it beautifully until his passing. 03/15/2023 12:00 AM
