Brenham - The CASA for Kids first annual Take the Mask off Child Abuse Masquerade Ball recently raised $32,000 through generous donations from their community partners and supporters. CASA for Kids of South Central Texas is a non-profit organization that provides children in foster care with a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer who advocates for their best interests in and outside of court.

The Columbus Municipal Golf Course would like to thank the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1127 for their generous donation of $500 to use towards the purchase of a new flagpole for the course. This past June, the veterans held their first golf tournament at the course, and it was a huge success.
