Returning students and staff welcomed new students and staff in hopes of kicking off a new year of learning, faith and friendship.

The Clippers scored a run in each of the first three innings while the Vets matched that to tie the game at 3-3 after five innings. The Clippers broke the tie with three runs in the top of the sixth to take a 6-3 lead, which proved to be the final score.
