Edward Causey, Jr. (1926-2018) formerly of Colorado County and graduate of Eagle Lake High School, volunteered to serve in the U.S. Navy at 17. He served on the Naval Aircraft Carrier the USS Bunker Hill CV-17. After basic training, he attended naval engineering and refrigeration schools.
