“Welcome to Columbus!” A common greeting as I meet many citizens of Columbus and surrounding communities. Beginning the position of executive director and director of business and commerce for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce on June 1, I kicked off a full and busy schedule. I quickly realized that becoming firmly planted in the community includes joining the Columbus Lions Club, on my way to being a Rotarian, and attending county, city, and other community meetings.
