Beef, forage committee sets program

The Colorado County Beef and Forage Committee is hosting an educational program on Friday, April 5.

Topics covered in the program will include Managing Animal Health, Feral Hog Management, Controlling Toxic Weeds in the Pasture Setting, TDA Laws and Regulations Update, and Native Grass Management in Pastures and Hayfields.

Pending approval by the Texas Department of Agriculture, five hours of continuing education units may be awarded to individuals with private applicator licenses.

The program will be held at the Colorado County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall located at 1146 Crossroads Boulevard, Columbus, Texas. Registration will be held from 8-9 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 a.m. A catered lunch will be served, and the program will conclude by 3:15 p.m. Pre-registration by March 29 will $25.00 per person.

On-site registration the day of the program will be $30.00 per person. If you have any questions or would like to pre-register please call the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office of Colorado County at 979-732-2082.
