Circus of Health set for July 20

COLUMBUS—Area organizations have teamed up to host the annual Colorado County Circus of Health on July 20. The event will be conducted from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Columbus Elementary School Cafeteria at 1324 Bowie Street in downtown Columbus. The event will include seatbelt safety demonstrations, school supply giveaways, community resources and information, as well as information on bicycle, water, snake, and sleep safety. as well as kidney function tests and vision checks. Parents must accompany the child to participate in screenings. Columbus Community Hospital, Maxi-mus, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas Department of State Health Services, and Methodist Healthcare Ministries of South Texas.
