Convicted murderer sentenced to life

Jose "Joey" Casanova, one of the men connected with the murder of Columbus resident Keaton Hancock has been sentenced to life in prison for his role. He was convicted of a felony murder charge a few months prior to his April 11 sentencing date. 

In the court of Judge William D. Old III, a jury found Casanova guilty of murder before the judge levied the hefty penalty against the convicted killer. Casanova is another in a line of convictions with those involved in the double murder of Hancock as well as Jonathan Segura of Eagle Lake.
