CASTILLO

Maria Villarreal Castillo, 81, passed away Sept. 6 at Oak Bend Medical Center in Richmond. She was born Oct. 7, 1937 to Bruno Villarreal and Juanita Covarrubias.

Maria was a homemaker and of Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by parents, Bruno Villarreal and Juanita Covarrubias, brothers Gregorio and Lorenzo Villarreal and sister Estela Villarreal.

Maria is survived by her husband Enemecio M. Castillo, sons Alvaro Castillo, Enemecio V. Castillo, Juan M. Castillo, Jose Edward Castillo, Jose Antonio Castillo and David Castillo; daughters Gloria C. Castillo and Iris A. Leal; sister Maria Magdalena Villarreal, 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral service was Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Parish of the Nativity Catholic Church with Father Robert Guerra.

Burial is in Nativity Cemetery in Eagle Lake.

Pallbearers were Tadeo Trevino, Alvaro Castillo, Jr., John Castillo, Edgar Castillo, Alexandra Castillo, Bruno Castillo and Jesus J. Leal.

Honorary Pallbearers were Alfonso Castillo, Abraham Castillo and Alberto G. Avila.

Final arrangements were under the direction of Eagle Lake Funeral Home.
