Gary Wayne Kensing

Gary Wayne Kensing, age 62, passed away Jan. 7 in Houston. He was born to Lee Roy and Peggy (Lovewell) Kensing May 6, 1957 in San Antonio. He married Arlene Elizabeth Luedke June 4, 2007.

Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, riding around the country roads looking at wildlife, and woodworking in his shop. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his family.

His parents, Lee Roy and Peggy Kensing, preceded Gary in death.

Gary is survived by his wife Arlene; daughters Amanda Marie Sralla (Adam), Kimberly Diane Embrey (Lance), Kaylin Nicole Kraftcheck (Brandon); son Dalton Joseph Kensing (fiancé Mary); step-daughters Ashley Settle (Jake), Sammie Esquivel (Chris); step-son Edward Hirsch (Teryn); brother David Lee Kensing (Gloria); grandchildren Blake Andrew Moy (fiancé Kameryn), Paityn Marie Embrey; step-grandchildren Harper, Avery and Isabelle; numerous cousins and nephews; former wife/dear friend Tami Kensing.

Funeral service was Saturday, Jan. 11 at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, with Pastor Vernon Griffin officiating. Visitation was Friday, Jan. 10 at Henneke Funeral Home. Burial followed at New Ulm Cemetery in New Ulm.

Serving as pallbearers were Dalton Kensing, Blake Moy, Edward Hirsch, Brandon Kensing, Chris Esquivel and Darren Kensing. Serving as honorary pallbearer is Adam Strzelczyk.
