Heather Elaine Felty Hobbs, 54, of Houston, Texas, passed away on September 5, 2022 in Houston, Texas surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 25, 1968, to Ronald Felty and Yeola Jo (Dungen) Felty in Columbus, Texas. On August 3, 1996, she married Tracy Hobbs. They recently celebrated their 26 wedding anniversary.

Heather worked as a records clerk for many years for Southwest Reporting & Video Service Inc. Heather loved children and spent many years working in childcare nurseries as well.

Heather enjoyed going to the beach, spending time with her dogs, going on long walks, and just being around her family. She was also a loving and caring person to others.

Heather is survived by her husband, Tracy Hobbs of Houston; mother, Yeola Jo Felty of Columbus; step-daughter, Patricia Marie Hobbs Scott of Navarro; brother, Thomas Wayne Felty and wife Debra of Columbus; grandchildren, Gracelynn Scott and Alik Pilens; nephews, Cody Sloan and Ryan Sloan; niece, Kathrine Baker and husband C.J.; great-nephew, Rex Cole Sloan; mother-inlaw, Patricia Bybee of Texas City; sister-in-law, Kelly Cullins and husband David of Kemah; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Felty; brother, Joseph Dungen Felty; grandparents, Joe and Leola (Becker) Dungen; father-in-law, Cecil Hobbs; and step fatherin- law Bill Bybee.

Visitation was Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, Texas. A parish rosary and funeral mass began at 1 p.m. with Father Nelson Gonzalez, Deacon John Glueck and Deacon Rusty Theut officiating. Burial was in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus, Texas.
